Our unique extrusion process:
Locally sourced, high quality soybeans are cleaned, dried then put through an extruder. This product is then pressed to form soymeal and hammered for size constancy. Food security and food safety is extremely important to us here at Jordan Mills, which is why our process is purely mechanical and does not require the use of chemicals.
This high shear extrusion yields many benefits including cooking, sterilization, and stabilization of the products. We can consistently produce high-energy soymeal with improved amino acid digestibility resulting in improved nutrient utilization by livestock or poultry. The soy oil produced by this method has a pleasant taste and aroma and is very stable due to the release of natural anti-oxidants during the extruding process. Our product has excellent success in feed ingredient markets including dairy, poultry and swine productions due to its cost and high palatability.
